As a Registered Nurse with over 25 years of experience in the
medical field, Ann C. Sheets, RN, has a demonstrated history of excellent care
for her patients. In her daily work, Ms. Sheets specializes in caring for
patients in the interventional cardiac unit during their post-electrophysiology
procedures. She cares for patients that have or get heart catheters and
pacemakers to help heart attack patients during their extended recovery
periods. Ms. Sheets has an array of responsibilities as a Registered Nurse,
including treating patients, providing support, coordinating care options, and
advising the families of the patients.

To prepare for her long-standing career in medicine, Ms. Sheets
first attended Rappahannock Community College, where she took prerequisite
undergraduate courses in practical nursing, vocational nursing, and nursing
assistance, graduating in 1995. She then attended the Riverside School of
Nursing, where she received her Nursing degree in 2002. Ms. Sheets spent six
years working as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) while going to school to earn
a diploma in Nursing for her RN. She then attended Grand Canyon University,
receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) in 2018. She is a
board-certified Cardiovascular Nurse, certified by the American Nurses Credentialing
Center, and certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
In her previous role, Ms. Sheets worked for Riverside
Tappahannock Hospital for over 15 years, helping countless patients. She worked
there first as an LPN, and later as an RN. In 2011, Ms. Sheets began a position
as a Registered Nurse at Bon Secours Health System, a role she is still
excelling in today. She has now worked at Bon Secours Health System for over
ten years, assisting patients with pacemakers, AICDs, and ablations. Ms. Sheets
works with patients before, during, and after they are catheterized, ensuring
they have the best care possible with minimal discomfort.
To remain alert to updates in the field and to connect with
other professionals, Ms. Sheets is a member of the American Nurses Association,
the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, and the Virginia
Nurses Association.
Ms. Sheets attributes her career success to solid support from
her family, friends, co-workers, and management team.
