a dual-trained implantologist and prosthodontist, Dr. Classi has
garnered a commendable reputation for his professional excellence of
more than 30 years serving the medical community. He specializes in all
facets of his work, including dental crowns, dental bridges, all levels
of implant restorative treatment from “All on Four” to single implant
restoration, porcelain veneers, Invisalign® clear braces, teeth
whitening, dental implant surgery, and more at his private practice in
NYC. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Classi is well-known for
his contributions to university medicine practice and his devotion to
teaching. He currently serves as a Clinical Associate Professor at New
York University College of Dentistry in the department of periodontics
and implant dentistry, where he helps future prosthodontists and
dentists learn proper dental techniques. Dr. Classi is also a Clinical
Director at New York University College of Dentistry in the full mouth
rehabilitation program.
A 1984 graduate of Iona College, Dr.
Classi’s dental career began after obtaining his Doctor of Dental
Medicine degree at Fairleigh S. Dickinson Jr. College of Dental Medicine
from 1984 to 1988. Shortly after, he completed a residency in general
medicine from 1988 to 1989 at Flushing Hospital Medical Center, followed
by a post-graduate prosthodontic program from 1990 to 1992 at New York
University College of Dentistry. From 1992-1994, Dr. Classi completed an
advanced education program implant fellowship to study dental
implantology.
Remaining abreast of the latest dental
advancements, Dr. Classi maintains active memberships and affiliations
with several professional organizations, including the American College
of Prosthodontics, the Northeastern Gnathological Society, the Academy
of Osseointegration, the International College of Oral Implantologists,
and the New York County Dental Society. Furthermore, as a leading
professional in the field of prosthodontics, Dr. Classi continues to
conduct research and has had his work featured in several peer-reviewed
publications.
In his spare time, Dr. Classi enjoys hunting,
fishing, and the outdoors. He is also devoted to various charitable
endeavors, including the American Cancer Association and Wounded
Warriors.
In honor of this dedication, Dr. Classi would like to
thank his wife, Dr. Jeni Glavicic, a general dentist, for the support
throughout the years and the beautiful family of three sons they have
created. Their eldest, Chris, is currently in Dental school at NYU and
will graduate this year. He must also recognize the loving memory of
his mother, Theresa, and dedicates this honor to her as well as his
father, Joseph. Dr. Classi would not be here if not for his parent’s
dedication and sacrifice, thus allowing him to obtain a valuable
education with opportunity to excel and grow. Dr. Classi also
attributes his desire to drive for success and perfection as a leading
Prosthodontist in NYC to his mentor, Dr. Tarnow.
