Tacoma, WA ‒ Anthony Ginn is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Lifetime Achiever for his excellent work in the field of Entertainment and for his dedication to Amalgamated Cinema and Entertainment.
With
over 30 years of experience, Mr. Ginn is a well-respected actor, musician,
businessman, investigative reporter, and Black historian. Raised by his
grandfather, ragtime composer Joe Jordan, he grew up immersed in music,
theater, and all kinds of arts from a young age. He believes that art is timeless
and ageless, and has spent his life creating art of all forms.
Mr.
Ginn is a former Executive Director for the Al Davies Boys and Girls Club in
Tacoma, WA., where he mentored many Boys who would go on to become pro
athletes, Olympic amateur boxing gold medalists, college coaches, non-profit
executives, private sector businessmen, doctors, lawyers, and small black
business owners. He also mentored girls who have become college athletes,
coaches, small black business owners, teachers, RNs, doctors, lawyers, and
politicians. He is also a Gang Counselor and Mentor. He has received many Civic
Awards for his work.
To
receive his college education, he attended Central Washington University as a
Scholar-Athlete, graduating in 1972 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. He
additionally attended Estelle Harmon Workshop, achieving a Master’s degree in
Drama and Dramatics/Theatre Arts. He has taken acting classes at USC, UCLA, and
AFI Film Schools, and has expertise in vocal coaching, voice acting, and singing.
Mr.
Ginn worked as an executive for about 30 years, but always concentrated on his
art. He has acted, written scripts and short stories, and produced numerous
short films, YouTube videos, and TV episodes. He has worked as an artist’s and
musician’s representative, taught as an Adjunct Professor at South Sound
Actor’s Workshop, and much more. He remains politically active, is involved
with his church Allen A.M.E., and is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha. Mr. Ginn is
additionally a member of the Buffalo Soldiers Organization; Black Collective;
Tacoma Urban League; American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers;
and Central Washington University Foundation. Mr. Ginn is an International
Associate in 22 Countries for the Isagenix Corporation as a World Health
Professional. In addition, he has served as a Volunteer Board Member for
Habitat for Humanity, NW Leadership Council, YMCA Camp Seymour, and Board
President for the Tacoma Community House.
In his
current role, he is the CEO and Founder of Amalgamated Cinema and
Entertainment. He is deeply involved in a project about Robert Johnson, a
musician of the Great Depression era. He will be creating a two-volume CD set,
which he expects millions of blues fans will enjoy very much. A tireless
creative, Mr. Ginn is always pitching film projects for short films, indie
films, sci-fi films, documentaries, and more. He aspires to create union jobs
and be the first Black union president. Mr. Ginn is currently writing his
autobiography, and celebrating every day as a new chapter. He believes that
“You must not let your past define your future!”
