both in younger individuals and particularly in the elderly. After many years
in academia, Dr. Bharucha has been in private practice since 2015, deploying

As a psychiatrist, Dr. Bharucha treats patients through a
variety of methods, including medications, psychotherapy or talk therapy,

stimulants, or sedatives-hypnotics, under the right circumstances. Dr. Bharucha

Ashok Bharucha knew from an early age that he wanted to

researcher. In addition, Ashok Bharucha holds an MA in English from the Bread
Loaf School of English, Middlebury College, Middlebury, VT. During his MA,
Ashok spent three summers at Lincoln College, University of Oxford. The breadth
of his experience is truly impressive.
Dr. Bharucha's professional journey in medicine began in
1992 when he graduated with his Medical Degree from the Penn State College of
Medicine. He then went on to complete his residency in adult psychiatry at
McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School, followed by his fellowship in geriatric
psychiatry at the Washington University School of Medicine.
Outside of work, the doctor enjoys travel, tennis, music,
and cooking.
