Executive Press ReleaseAUBREY ATKINS - MSN, RN, FNP-C
West Jordan, UT - Continental Who's Who recognizes Aubrey Atkins, M.S.N., R.N., FNP-C as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in recognition of her contributions to the Nursing field.
In her role as Family Nurse Practitioner, Atkins utilizes expertise in family medicine, rural health and nursing. She has worked in the healthcare field for 11 years, and knew from an early age that she wanted to help people.
"I became a nurse practitioner for the 'autonomy' it affords and the ability to more fully care for my patients - in all aspects of their care," Atkins said. "I pride my success on being a perfectionist and insisting on the 'continued desire to learn and grow.'"
Atkins has recently returned to Intermountain Healthcare to take a position in one of their Senior Clinics. Intermountain is a "not-for-profit health system based in Salt Lake City, Utah, with 22 hospitals, a broad range of clinics and services, about 1,400 employed primary care and secondary care physicians at more than 185 clinics in the Intermountain Medical Group and health insurance plans," according to its website.
"Our role is broader than the provider of care, and Intermountain Healthcare's leaders work to create an environment that attracts the best and fosters the talents of our employees," the website continues.
In addition to holding a Nurse Practitioner license, Atkins is a Certified Nutrition Support Clinician and is also certified in both Trauma and Cardiac Life Support. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Utah and her Master of Science degree, also in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner Focus from the George Washington University.
When not working, Atkins enjoys bowling, history, reading, and travel. She also enjoys bowling, playing the piano and quilting. She dedicates this recognition to her parents, Cordell "Corky" and Maude Atkins, as well as her brothers Ryan, Braden Ian and their families, and thanks them for their continuing love and support. She would also like to thank Cindy Barnes, her nursing "mom" and mentor whose example helped inspire her to begin her career in cardiovascular care. She is also extremely appreciative of another mentor, Paul Genesse, whose example and friendship encouraged her to continue her pursuit of knowledge and education.
