Ohio’s Wellness Spa located at 1241 Dixie Hwy, Rossford,
Ohio. Some of the conditions treated here include weightless, smoking
cessation, treatment for side effects of chemotherapy. Acupuncture stimulates
production of pain modulating endorphins and encephalon’s. A form of
alternative medicine and a key component of Traditional Chinese Medicine in
which thin needles are inserted into the body.
Popular modalities of under the umbrella of Acupuncture include cupping,
Moxibustion, hypnosis, and Auricular Therapy which aides in minimizing post op
nausea and pain.
Born in Ontario, Canada Mrs. Phibbs graduated from Leamington High School. She
went on to earn her nursing degree from Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario
where she served as a Gynecological Oncology Nurse until 2014. She also worked at Langdon Allergy Clinic.
Through her experience as a nurse, it opened up doors to the world alternative
medicine.
In addition to her education, she obtained her Doctor of Oriental Medicine
degree from Florida College of Integrative Medicine in Orlando. Barbara A.
Phibbs then became nationally board
certified in oriental medicine by the National Certification Commission for
Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Additionally Barbara is certified in laser
surgery, facial rejuvenation, and auricular therapy.
Barbara A. Phibbs continues to affiliate herself with SARS a research group .
She is a Lifetime member of Integrated Medical Association. Also maintaining
relationships with Ohio Acupuncture Association, Acupuncture Consultants for
Pro Medica, and The Florida Society of Oriental Medicine.
In her free time Mrs. Phibbs supports Ovarian Cancer Society, and The Victory
Center.
Married to Garth D. Phibbs, MD, Barbara dedicates this recognition In loving
memory of her daughter Lindsey Blayne-Phibbs,MD.
