Denham Springs, LA—Continental Who’s Who recognizes Christal Achord, R.N., M.S.N., CLNC, as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in the Healthcare field.

Achord serves as the Owner and Founder of Achord Consulting, LLC. She brings expertise in healthcare administration, leadership, managed care operations, general medicine and pediatrics to her role, as well as legal nurse consulting and utilization management. She is well-versed in Medicare, Medicaid, EMR, HIPAA, ACLS, BLS, patient safety and overall healthcare provider relations. Achord also possesses non-medically related skills, including social media, customer service, billing and marketing. 

“I am a highly trained R.N. with strong clinical abilities and successful career in primary care, acute care and managed care organizations,” Achord said. “I am proactive and organized, with a compassionate commitment to improving healthcare.” 

Achord obtained her RN and Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Southeastern Louisiana University. She then went on to earn her Masters of Nursing in Science degree from Our Lady of the Lake University, and her Certification to practice as a Legal Nurse Consultant through the Vicki Milazzo Institute. She is licensed to practice nursing in the state of Louisiana, but her legal nurse consulting in the state of Louisiana, but her legal nurse consulting services are available nationwide.

“My consulting company performs medical record research, and investigates to determine whether or not a case has merit,” Achord said. “We pull the appropriate medical records and standards of care, all those relative to the case at hand, in order to help prep our Attorney-Client for all stages of the legal process from a healthcare perspective. Based on my nursing expertise, I am available for depositions, or will research and locate appropriate expert witnesses based on the expertise needed for the case.”

In addition to her work through Achord Consulting, Achord works as a Clinical Supervisor and Medical Affairs specialist at Louisiana Healthcare Connections, Inc. She also works as a model through Victor’s International. Prior to establishing Achord Consulting, Achord held the positions of Utilization Management Special Ops Supervisor and Concurrent Review Registered Nurse, both at Louisiana Healthcare Connections. 

To further her professional development, Achord is a member of the American Nurses Association, the American Hippotherapy Association, the National Alliance of Certified Legal Nurse Consultants, and the National Association of Professional Women, which honored her as a member of the VIP Women of the Year Circle. 

When not working, Achord volunteers her time to the Children’s Miracle Network, the Louisiana Horse Rescue Association, the Thoroughbred Adoption Society and Lifeline Dog Rescue and Transport for Weimaraners. She also enjoys outdoor sports such as golf, boutique modeling for print advertising, and spending time with her family and boyfriend.
