Claudia Barberio Kunrath, MD

Located in Denver, Colorado, Denver Health is an integrated healthcare operation that is dedicated to utilizing the latest advancements in medical technology to further enhance the health and wellness of their patients.

Amassing over twenty three years of experience in the field of Medicine, Dr. Kunrath is a distinguished professional in her industry. In her current capacity, Dr. Kunrath served in her current position as Medical Director of Denver Health for the past ten years. She has also served as assistant professor of the University of Colorado since 2008. Throughout her career, Dr. Kunrath has attained extensive experience in the areas of critical care and pediatrics.

Throughout the course of her education and training, Dr. Kunrath attained her Medical Doctor degree from Fundacao Faculdade Federal de Ciencias Medicas de Porto Alegre, Brazil in 1995. Additionally, Dr. Kunrath attended the Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo University in Pediatrics. In her later years, Dr. Kunrath attended the University of Colorado children’s hospital program in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine in 2008.  

To further her professional development, Dr. Kunrath is an affiliate of several organizations including AAP and SCCM.

In recognition of her professional accolades, Dr. Kunrath was the recipient of the 2011 Gary Way Award for Outstanding teaching, and was named as Denver's Top Docs in Pediatric Critical Care.

When she is not working, Dr. Kunrath enjoys spending time with her family, skiing, and hiking.

Dr.  Kunrath dedicates this recognition in loving memory of her parents, Francesco and Lore Barberio.
