Utilizing an Integrative Medicine approach offering his patients a variety of treatment options and to treat the root causes of the problem using homeopathy, acupuncture, and osteopathic manipulative medicine, on all the body’s systems including a person’s physical, emotional, and neurobiological system for a whole body approach. He also offers integrative approaches to quickly address pain relief. Dr. Shepherd has practiced and taught medicine on three continents and in four counties. Specializing in Osteopathic Manipulation; Dr. Shepherd has successfully treated: Chronic Pain, Back Pain, Headaches, Neck Pain, Fibromyalgia, TMJ, Lyme Disease, Vertigo, Sports Injuries, Strokes, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Arthritis, Sciatica, Sinusitis, Physical and Emotional Trauma, Anxiety, Shock, and Depression. Dr. Shepherd has discovered how the interaction of a person’s genetics, epigenetics, culture, environment, and biological systems place demands on a person’s system. As to the experience which led him to his profession, Dr. Shepherd was pitching in the state championships in Michigan and he got injured and had to seek medical help. He was treated by an Osteopathic doctor and he was able to successfully complete the season. With his detailed knowledge of Quantum Physics, anatomy, physiology and biomechanics led to his breakthrough discovery of his own unique Osteopathic Techniques. In addition to his 42+ years of experience and extensive medical training in both conventional and natural medicine, Dr. Shepherd attributes his continued long-term success to his belief in the direct and close contact with the patient. With a reverence for his second chance at life, Dr. Shepherd states “I had a near-death experience which has shaped my philosophy of life and I use this gift to help whoever I can”.
Dr. Shepherd received his D.O. degree and a degree in Chemistry from Midwestern University.
In recognition of his professional accomplishments, Dr. Shepherd was honored as the 2019 Top Osteopathic Doctor Award Recipient.
In his free time, Dr. Shepherd enjoys reading, studying quantum mechanics, mathematics, and chemistry. He also enjoys reading the works of Richard Feynman in Quantum Physics. Dr. Shepherd is happily married to his wife, Angela.
