As owner and operator, Mr. Cox oversees daily operations, manages employees, and handles the administrative responsibilities essential to the company’s continued success. His routine involvement includes managing correspondence, processing documentation, and ensuring that every project meets high standards of craftsmanship. Under his direction, B and D Insulation has earned a strong reputation for reliability and excellence throughout the region.

Before establishing his own company, Mr. Cox spent several years working with large insulation firms after entering the industry in 1999. This experience provided him with a comprehensive understanding of installation and insulation services and prepared him for the transition into entrepreneurship. His entry into the field followed a career change after losing his position as a mechanic at a cannery. A neighbor who worked as a foreman at ALCAL Insulation introduced him to the trade, offering the stability and opportunity he was seeking at the time.

Mr. Cox holds a California insulation and acoustical license and brings practical expertise shaped by decades of hands on experience. Beyond his professional work, he remains committed to supporting his community. He has assisted disabled veterans by completing construction and insulation projects at cost as part of charitable initiatives led by friends, reflecting a strong sense of civic responsibility and service.

In recognition of his dedication and craftsmanship, Mr. Cox was named Best Insulation Contractor in Sonoma County, California, in 2020 and again from 2021 through 2024. Outside of work, he enjoys building scale models, a hobby that mirrors his attention to detail and patience.

Mr. Cox credits his success to persistence, patience, and perseverance, as well as the unwavering support of his wife, Susan. He also values self reliance, noting that his career was shaped without the benefit of formal mentorship. Looking ahead, he plans to retire within the next three to four years, confident in the strong foundation he has built.
