
Medina, OH- Dr. Deana L. Couture, DHSc, MPAS, PA-C, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Achiever in the field of Medicine as the owner of Couture Consulting, Education and Advocacy (CEA) and as a Physician Assistant in Psychiatry at the Jewish Family Service Association.
In her work at Couture CEA, Dr. Couture is deeply passionate
about her advocacy and education activities. She offers consulting for pharmaceutical
companies, is a guest lecturer and educator in many aspects of healthcare
including providers, support groups, healthcare consumers and their families.
She has over thirty-seven years of experience in healthcare and education with
thirteen of those years as a physician assistant.
Dr. Couture is employed full time at the Jewish Family Service Association of
Cleveland, Ohio in the Psychiatry Department and has both clinical and
managerial responsibilities. She specializes in severe and persistent mental
illnesses and the Community Mental Health Program is open to anyone.
An academic scholar, Dr. Couture’s education pursuits started at Cuyahoga
Community College in Ohio where she earned her Physician Assistant. Following
this, she earned a Master in Physician Assistant Studies and a Doctorate of
Health Sciences in Global Healthcare from A.T. Still University of Health
Sciences in Arizona.
To remain up to date in her field, Dr. Couture is member of the American
Academy of Physician Assistants and the Ohio Association of Physician
Assistants. An active member of her community through NAMI.
In her spare time, Dr. Couture enjoys being with her family. She has been
married to Eric Couture for twenty-four years. Together, they have two adopted
children and have grandchildren. She is affiliated with Temple Israel and is
active in her local Jewish Community.
