Dr. Kaliman is a highly respected physician who is considered an expert in clinical cardiology; cardiac transplantation; cardiac catheterizations; and heart failure. Known for treating his patients with special interest and care, akin to family.
Touting a prestigious education, Dr. Kaliman earned a Bachelor of Science double major in biophysics and microbiology from the University of Pittsburgh; had one year of graduate study in microbiology and genetics at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Public Health; earned his doctor of medicine degree from New York Medical College; and completed internal medicine residency and fellowship in cardiology at Allegheny General Hospital serving for a year as Chief Resident.
The doctor is affiliated with numerous professional organizations including American Heart Association; the American Board of Internal Medicine; and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Kaliman contributes much of his success to his mentors, Claude Joyner, MD; and Lisa John, office manager. He also dedicates this honor to the memory of his parents, Ana and Bernardo Kaliman; his brother, Charlie Kaliman; and offers gratitude to his sister, Viviana, and sons, Sam and Mike, for their support.
Aside from his professional pursuits, Dr. Kaliman is a 5th degree Master in Korean Karate (Tang Soo Do).
