HARRY A. BADE III, MD, FACS - FOUNDER AND ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON

Tinton Falls, NJ — Harry A. Bade III, MD, FACS, is being recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Top Healthcare Professional for his distinguished career as a Founder and Orthopedic Surgeon and in acknowledgment of his work with Professional Orthopaedic Associates.

A fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic surgeon with advanced credentials in sports medicine, Dr. Harry A. Bade III founded Professional Orthopaedic Associates in 1985. Since that time, he has seen patients in the New Jersey communities of Tinton Falls, Toms River, and Freehold.

As an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Bade uses surgical and non-surgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders. He specializes in sports medicine, joint replacement, and arthroscopic surgery—particularly those of the shoulder, elbow, hand, and wrist—having perfected the technique of joint replantation. He provides the best care for all of his patients, many of whom are long-standing.

In pursuit of higher education, Dr. Bade completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1965. During college, he received ROTC training, served in the U.S. Army Quartermaster Corps, and was a Vietnam Veteran. During his military service, he achieved the rank of Captain. After completing coursework at Columbia University, he earned his Medical Degree from Jefferson Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. He then went on to complete both his internship and residency in general surgery at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York, NY. Subsequently, Dr. Bade worked in the replantation lab at Duke University. He also underwent advanced fellowship training in shoulder and hand surgery at the Hospital of Special Surgery in New York, NY, and a visiting fellowship in hand surgery at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center.

Passionate about his profession, Dr. Bade is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). Maintaining fellowship status, the doctor is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (FAAOS). Among his professional affiliations, Dr. Bade is an active member of the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America, New Jersey Orthopedic Society, Medical Society of New Jersey, and the North American Arthroscopy Association. He also serves as a Delegate at the American Orthopedic Sports Medicine Society.

Active in the community, Dr. Bade is the founder of the Athletic Trainers Association of New Jersey and the founder of the Toms River Surgical Center. In addition, he founded Doc Secure, which is a medical malpractice insurance company. He volunteers his spare time to more than 20 different high schools locally, working with their athletic programs.

The doctor would like to thank his entire staff for their hard work in light of this recognition. He also would like to acknowledge his mentors, Chichandran Raniwat, MD, John Insall, MD, Dick Eaton, MD, and Bill Littler, MD.
