
Tinton Falls, NJ — Harry A. Bade III, MD, FACS, is being
recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Top
Healthcare Professional for his distinguished career as a Founder and
Orthopedic Surgeon and in acknowledgment of his work with Professional
Orthopaedic Associates.
A fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic surgeon
with advanced credentials in sports medicine, Dr. Harry A. Bade III founded
Professional Orthopaedic Associates in 1985. Since that time, he has seen
patients in the New Jersey communities of Tinton Falls, Toms River, and
Freehold.
As an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Bade uses surgical and
non-surgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports
injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders. He
specializes in sports medicine, joint replacement, and arthroscopic
surgery—particularly those of the shoulder, elbow, hand, and wrist—having
perfected the technique of joint replantation. He provides the best care for
all of his patients, many of whom are long-standing.
In pursuit of higher education, Dr. Bade completed his
Bachelor of Science degree in Economics at The Wharton School of the University
of Pennsylvania in 1965. During college, he received ROTC training, served in
the U.S. Army Quartermaster Corps, and was a Vietnam Veteran. During his
military service, he achieved the rank of Captain. After completing coursework
at Columbia University, he earned his Medical Degree from Jefferson Medical
College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. He then went on to
complete both his internship and residency in general surgery at St.
Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York, NY. Subsequently, Dr. Bade worked
in the replantation lab at Duke University. He also underwent advanced fellowship
training in shoulder and hand surgery at the Hospital of Special Surgery in New
York, NY, and a visiting fellowship in hand surgery at St. Luke's-Roosevelt
Hospital Center.
Passionate about his profession, Dr. Bade is board-certified
in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS).
Maintaining fellowship status, the doctor is a Fellow of the American College
of Surgeons (FACS) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons
(FAAOS). Among his professional affiliations, Dr. Bade is an active member of
the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of
North America, New Jersey Orthopedic Society, Medical Society of New Jersey,
and the North American Arthroscopy Association. He also serves as a Delegate at
the American Orthopedic Sports Medicine Society.
Active in the community, Dr. Bade is the founder of the
Athletic Trainers Association of New Jersey and the founder of the Toms River
Surgical Center. In addition, he founded Doc Secure, which is a medical
malpractice insurance company. He volunteers his spare time to more than 20
different high schools locally, working with their athletic programs.
