He utilizes advanced techniques such as Cardiac CTA, Cardiac MRI, and 3D echocardiography to provide precise diagnoses and treatment plans.

His dedication to innovation is evident in his adoption of state-of-the-art procedures like Intra Coronary Echocardiography (ICE), for real-time imaging during complex cardiac procedures. Dr. Mendiolaza is at the forefront of minimally invasive interventions, performing procedures like Cardiac Imaging for Transcutaneous Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) and left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) to improve patient outcomes.

Formerly serving as the Director of at the prestigious Heart and Vascular Institute at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Maryland, where he led the Cardiac Imaging Program of  the Structural Heart Team. Dr. Mendiolaza concierge practice covers almost 27 states, with his base located in Naples, Florida. His commitment to excellence is underscored by his recent recertification as a level III expert in Cardiac Computed Tomography and Fellow of the Society of Cardiac Computed Tomography.

He has recently awarded in Budapest, Hungary (February 2024) at the Global Meeting of Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography where he was awarded the 1rst place with his paper publication and then in London while attending the Global Summit of the Society of Cardiac Magnetic Resonance (February 2024) where he achieved the prestigious award by the European Society of Cardiovascular Imaging as the best poster clinical presentation in cardiac MRI.

Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Mendiolaza has received numerous accolades and awards, including recognition as one of the top 10 cardiologists in the United States by esteemed media outlets such as Press Media Up, AP News, and Forbes. 

In addition he has been named as the best doctor for two years in a row for 2023 and 2024 in the state of Florida by the prestigious Best of Florida Magazine doctors edition.
