A board-certified internal medicine specialist, Dr. Rijal serves as a Hospitalist providing patient care and managing various medical issues at Hartford HealthCare Medical Group, Hartford Hospital, located in Hartford, CT. He is also the staff at MidState Medical Center and The Hospital of Central Connecticut. In his practice, he sees a variety of patients while providing general inpatient medical services and follow-up plans for care. Dr. Rijal manages both common and complex diseases by giving patients comprehensive care and promoting their overall well-being.
In pursuit of his educational and professional goals, Dr. Rijal, a native of Nepal, received a Medical Degree from Tribhuvan University, Institute of Medicine in Katmandu, Nepal, in 2009. After relocating to the United States, he completed his internal medicine residency at Zucker School of Medicine at Staten Island University Hospital, NY, in 2013. Upon finishing his specialized medical training, Dr. Rijal served as an Academic Hospitalist and Clinical Faculty at The Miriam Hospital in Rhode Island, a primary affiliate of Brown University Medical School. For the past five years, Dr. Rijal has held his current position at Hartford Hospital, one of the largest teaching hospitals and tertiary care centers in New England, training physicians for over 160 years. The hospital is an 867-bed regional referral center that provides high-quality care in all clinical disciplines.
Dr. Rijal is a compassionate physician, described by his colleagues and patients as a person of high dignity and moral value who always strives to render the best clinical care.
