Dr. Laurain earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Michigan and received a Medical Doctor degree and internal medicine residency at Michigan State University, School of Medicine and affiliated hospitals. The doctor is a board-certified internist.

Dr. Laurain is an internist who specializes in the medical treatment of adults. He notes that internists can act as a primary physician or a consultant to a primary physician. They manage both common and rare diseases. Dr. Laurain asserts that he provides comprehensive care and manages treatment with surgeons. Internists establish long-term relationships with their patients and incorporate disease prevention and mental health care into their practice.

Dr. Laurain sees adults and adolescents for various issues including chronic conditions. He takes his time with patients, educating them on their conditions and helping them to achieve a healthy lifestyle. The doctor has volunteered with the Public Health Department in Saginaw, MI and is also an active member of St. Stephens Catholic Church.

The doctor notes that would like to dedicate this honor to his mentor, Phillip Lambert, MD., and in memory of Alan Neibert, MD. Who was also a mentor to Dr. Laurain.
