Dr. Joseph G. R. Martinez has built a distinguished career in higher education, dedicating nearly four decades to teaching and advancing mathematics education. As a retired faculty member of the University of New Mexico, he is recognized for his commitment to student success and his ability to make complex mathematical concepts accessible to learners at all levels.

Dr. Martinez specialized in mathematics education, graduate statistics, calculus, and algebra, with a particular focus on reducing math anxiety. His teaching approach emphasized patience and step by step instruction, helping students build confidence and develop a deeper understanding of mathematical principles.
