DMD, is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among Pinnacle Professionals in the
field of Healthcare.
A third generation New York dentist, Dr. Okun owns and operates her private dental practice in her hometown of Rye Brook, New York. She has over two decades of hands on experience, and specializes in the following: orthodontics for adults, teens and children, and treatment of TMJ (facial pain). She also does dental sleep medicine and fabricates custom athletic mouth-guards.
Dr. Okun is truly passionate about orthodontics and loves creating beautiful smiles for her patients. The recipient of the Joseph E. Johnson Table Clinic award alongside her father Stanley Okun, Dr. Okun is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
To keep up with the latest advancements in the industry, she maintains affiliation with the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, New York State Society of Orthodontists, Westchester Shore Dental Forum, Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, Ninth District Dental Association, Westchester Shore Dental Forum, Orthodontic Alumni Society of Columbia University, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity.
Outside of the office, Dr. Okun enjoys spending time with her family, continuing education and religious observance. She is heavily involved with her local synagogue and various programs through Young Israel of White Plains, Amit, and the Jewish Renaissance Experience. Dr. Okun serves on the Young Israel Security Committee and is a volunteer for the Bikkur Cholim of Rockland County and the Westchester Chevra Kadisha.
Throughout the course of her educational career, Dr. Okun earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania, her Certificate in Orthodontics from Columbia University, and her undergraduate degree from Brandeis University. She returned to her hometown to practice dentistry: she was a member of the 3rd graduating class of Blind Brook High School. Dr. Okun has lectured for both the Westchester Shore Dental Forum and the Suburban Dental Study Club on orthodontic orthopedics, and the use of “electric stim” for pain management. She has been recognized for her professional excellence by many Who’s Who publications, Top Doc New York, The International Association of Dentists, the National Association of Professional Women and Doctors of Excellence.
