KAREN MONTGOMERY-REAGAN, DO, FACOP, FAAP - PEDIATRICIAN

Athens, OH – Karen Montgomery-Reagan, DO, FACOP, FAAP is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Pediatrician for her work in the medical field and in acknowledgement of her work at OhioHealth Physicians Group – Heritage College.

Dr. Montgomery-Reagan has been practicing Pediatric Medicine for over 36 years. She has been treating patients at OhioHealth Physicians Group – Heritage College for 5 years and prior University Medical Associates for 21 years. Dr. Montgomery-Reagan has been teaching at Ohio University since 1995.

She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from West Virginia University in 1978. Dr. Montgomery-Reagan then attended the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating with a Doctor of Osteopathy degree. After graduating, she completed an internship and a Pediatric residency at Grandview Hospital in Dayton, OH. She earned board certification as a Pediatrician by the American Board of Pediatrics in 1991.

In her clinical role, Dr. Montgomery-Reagan treats patients from birth to age 21. She provides behavioral and developmental evaluations and physicals. Dr. Montgomery-Reagan likes to educate her young patients and their parents on mental and behavioral health issues. She has hospital privileges at Ohio Health O’Bleness Hospital and is currently serving as Chief of Pediatric Service. Since 1995, Dr. Montgomery-Reagan has been teaching at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she is a tenured Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Pediatrics.

Dr. Montgomery-Reagan is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians. She is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the Ohio Osteopathic Association. She has been awarded for her exemplary career with the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians’ Harold H. Finkel, DO and Arnold Melnick, DO Community Pediatrician of the Year Award (2017), the Patients’ Choice Award (2018), the On-Time Doctor Award (2018), the Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2018), and a profile feature in Health News Today (2021).

In her spare time, Dr. Montgomery-Reagan is an active member of the Richland United Methodist Church, where she volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and Summer Bible School. She also gives seminars on health issues that impact the community.

Dr. Montgomery-Reagan would like to dedicate this honorable recognition In Loving Memory of her mother, Mrs. Anna Marie Romagnoli Montgomery; and with thanks to her mentors, Connie McCarroll, DO, Lauren Vogel DO, and Phillip Jones, DO.
