Home to the famous horseshoe burger, the Wood Duck Bar & Grill is a popular spot for great food and drinks in a fun, family-oriented and laid back atmosphere.
The recipient of the 2015 Renewed Vision award from her local Chamber of Commerce, Kate is a seasoned hospitality professional garnering over fifteen years of experience. As Owner, Kate handles all things from advertising to marketing, event planning and customer service. Additionally, she also utilizes her background in graphic design to help market the bar as well as doing freelance work.
With that being said, Kate has been employed as an assistant editor, graphic design specialist and general manager at a local newspaper and three years as House Manager at the Carlinville Elks Lodge.
A member of NAPW, Kate maintains affiliation with Shop Local, Macoupin T.A.I.L.S., and enjoys being outdoors and spending time with family outside of work.
Throughout the course of her educational career, Kate earned
her Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from Southern Illinois University-
Edwardsville.
