As her medical training continued, she completed an Internal Medicine Residency at the Mayo Clinic in 2005, followed by a Rheumatology Fellowship at the same institution in 2008. In that same year, she was the recipient of The Philip S. Hench Award for Excellence in Rheumatology, and was nominated for the Mayo Clinic Department of Medicine Summerskill Award from the Mayo Clinic. In 2016, she received her Masters of Science in Clinical Research at the University of Pittsburgh.
