As CEO of AHCEQUIP, Mrs. Fuhrman leads a trusted regional provider of durable medical equipment that supports patients across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. Under her stewardship, the company has evolved from a small operation into a healthcare organization with more than 40 team members, delivering respiratory care and sleep apnea therapy, mobility solutions, and comprehensive equipment services to patients and families throughout South Florida.

Mrs. Fuhrman’s expertise spans entrepreneurship, business development, operations, strategic partnerships and alliances, and healthcare provider relations. AHCEQUIP’s offerings include durable medical equipment for adults and pediatric, mobility, respiratory, sleep apnea and incontinence need, with a focus on coordinated care that helps patients transition smoothly from hospital to home.

Known for a hands-on leadership style, she begins each day by setting priorities and engaging with referral sources and care teams. Most Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, she visits physicians’ offices and hospitals to collaborate with pulmonologists, cardiologists, family medicine physicians, ENT specialists, case managers, social workers and discharge planners. This consistent presence supports the company’s mission-driven approach to patient education, service, and outcomes.

Mrs. Fuhrman’s business career began at age 20 in her family’s Textile Company, Gomelast Group, where she spent 22 years learning operations, leadership, and customer service. Fourteen years ago, she and her husband relocated to the United States, and for the past 12 years she has led her own durable medical equipment company in South Florida. She continues to serve on the board of Gomelast Group, contributing her finance expertise, and acknowledges the support of her husband, Enrique Fuhrman, her parents Ygo and Raquel Borgman and her 5 children.

Among her accomplishments, Mrs. Fuhrman has built strong partnerships with physicians, hospitals, and case managers across the region while growing AHCEQUIP’s team and capabilities. Her professional recognition includes Influential Women – 2026 and Best in Fort Lauderdale community for American Health Care Equipment from 2022 to 2024.

She earned a degree in Business Administration from Universidad Santa Maria Venezuela, a foundation that complements decades of hands-on leadership. Guided early on by her father, Ygo Borgman, and her late grandfather, Neptali Borgman, she brings a resilient, service-focused perspective to healthcare entrepreneurship.

Deeply involved in community service, Mrs. Fuhrman serves on the Board of Directors of Jewish Community Services of South Florida (2019 – 2024), supporting programs that benefit children, families, seniors, and underserved populations. Actually she belongs to the Board of Directors Masada Home Care, that brings services to Holocaust Survivors and elderly people in Miami Dade, Board of Directors of Fundasec International Corp brings excellence to education from Preschool to high school, providing the best academics and social preparation prior to college.
