Margaret Hanson has 12 years’ experience working in her current position as a Clinical Social Worker at Samaritan Counseling Center. Her areas of expertise are grief, and how it mantels or envelops individuals and affects their daily routine.  A person’s condition concerning their psychological and emotional well-being is of most importance when it comes to mental health.

An academic scholar, she attended the College of St. Rose and earned her BA. Following her Bachelor of Arts Margaret continued on at Catholic University and received her Master of Arts. She later completed her studies at Marywood University to earn her title of MSW, Master of Social Work.

A leader in her field, Ms. Hanson has experience at Binghamton General Hospital and the Alcoholism Center winning honorable awards from both facilities for her excellence as a competent social worker for mental health. She also works with Ladies of Charity. AIC in providing Vincentian Leadership to Women Acting Together Against All Forms of Poverty.

Margaret Hanson dedicates her success to Sheryl, her husband, Chris, and their children Stephen and William, her grandson.
