With an extensive educational background, Dr. Giuffra received her Doctorate (Ph.D.) from New York University and is a licensed marriage and family therapist, a board-certified clinical specialist in psychiatric mental health, and a registered professional nurse.

She is certified in sex counseling, trauma addictions, core energetics, and somatic experiencing.

Her award-winning article, "Demystifying Adolescent Behavior," has been published in six professional journals. As an active consultant and researcher, Dr. Giuffra has been honored with appointments to the governing boards of leading medical institutions, universities, and community organizations. An organizational consultant, she is also a former tenured professor at New York University and the College of Mt. St. Vincent.
