Spartanburg, SC- Michael Van Pelt, MPA is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a 3 Year Pinnacle Professional Member in the field of Consulting in recognition of his role as President and CEO of Ascent Leadership Resources.

Ascent Leadership Resources is a consulting firm specialized in strategic business planning and leadership. The company specializes in transforming business' management styles within the workplace in an effort to produce a higher productivity rate.

Amassing twenty years of experience in the field of consulting and management, Van Pelt has specialized in the areas of account management, consulting, and leadership development experience within a variety of industries including telecommunications, insurance, training, and non-profit agencies. A highly effective problem solver, Van Pelt assists business and organizational leaders in formulating clear and concise business and strategic plans that create focus, alignment, and accountability in order to sustain growth for their organization.  Having established a reputation for cultivating a positive company culture, surpassing goals, and providing high quality service resulting in customer loyalty, and programmatic effectiveness, Van Pelt has become a proven leader with exceptional organization and administrative skills.
 
Throughout the course of his education and training, Van Pelt attained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Leadership from Ashford University in 2012. Later, he then went onto earn his Master of Public Administration (MPA) in 2015.  In addition, Van Pelt obtained his Grant Writing Certificate from the University of South Carolina in 2016, and also obtained a Certificate of Nonprofit Board Education in 2014.
 
To further his professional development, Van Pelt is an affiliate of several organizations including the Spartanburg Downtown Sertoma Club. Charitable to various organizations, Van Pelt is an active volunteer for Spartanburg Start ME, a business mentoring program for local entrepreneurs. Additionally, Van Pelt is an active Board Member for numerous organizations including, Shepherds Center of Spartanburg, TOTAL Ministries, Neighborhood Home Owners Association, the United Way of the Piedmont Financial Stability Council, and Van Pelt has served on various committees and councils at his local church.
 
When he is not working, Van Pelt enjoys family activities, playing golf, exercising, traveling, and serving his community.
