South Roy, Utah—Continental Who’s Who recognizes Myrna Beth Shipp as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in recognition of her contributions to the field of Accounting, Tax and Business Services.

Shipp is the Owner of Myrna’s Tax and Business Services, which provides a plethora of services from all types of accounting, to bookkeeping and tax preparation to additional business expertise. The company assists customers with over 750 tax returns every year.

Prior to owning her own business, Shipp worked for the Department of Indian Affairs as well as the Internal Revenue Service, as part of her 57 years of field experience that started at Stevens-Henagers College and earning credentials as a certified tax preparer. Some of her additional experience includes work as a legal secretary and teaching tax law.

When asked for her advice to aspiring tax accountants who are entering the field, Shipp indicated that the field of providing tax and business services is based on “honesty and going above and beyond for clients.”

To further her professional development, Shipp is a member of her local chamber of commerce, is accredited with the Better Business Bureau and is a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals.

When not working, Shipp enjoys farming trucking sheep and selling lambs. “I’m really an old-time farmer’s daughter,” Shipp said.

Shipp dedicates this recognition to her children, Adriana Griffey and Starlene Larsen, as well as her five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
