
McAllen, TX - Naomi D’Acolatse, MD, MPH, FAASP, is being
recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Trusted
Physician for her outstanding work in Family Medicine and in acknowledgment
of her work as Associate Dean for Educational Affairs at UTRGV School of
Medicine.
Dr Naomi D’Acolatse is a family practitioner who is now in
academia as Associate Dean for Educational Affairs at the University of Texas
Rio Grande Valley - School of Medicine in Edinburg.
Dr. D’Acolatse specializes in comprehensive health care for people of all ages.
In addition to diagnosing and treating illnesses, family practitioners also
focus on preventative care with routine checkups, tests, and personalized
coaching on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Dr. D’Acolatse possesses immense
general knowledge on maintaining health, and today, family practitioners
provide more care for underserved and rural populations than any other medical
specialty.
Before embarking on her professional journey, the doctor earned a Bachelor’s
degree at Spelman College. She completed her medical degree (MD) at Wayne State
University and finished her residency at St. Mary Mercy Hospital. She is a
member of the following associations: TAFM, AAFP, TXFP, AMC, and the American
Medical Association.
Outside of work, Dr. D’Acolatse sponsors children in developing nations, such
as the Philippines. She also enjoys traveling and spending time with her
family.
In light of this recognition, the doctor wishes to thank her husband, Derrick,
and daughter, Moriah. She also would like to honor the loving memory of her
grandmother and inspiration, Mary Lee Coaston.
