Having led a remarkable career for over 15 years, Dr. Nupur Ghoshal is renowned
as a well-seasoned and respected neurologist and educator. She has garnered an excellent
reputation for her dedication to providing the highest quality of care to
patients and for her commendable teaching efforts. In her current capacity, Dr.
Ghoshal cares for patients in both hospital and outpatient settings, offering
her repertoire of expertise in all areas of neurology and psychiatry. She has
also devoted the past 14 years with Washington University School of Medicine,
where she had focused on clinical trials for Alzheimer’s disease and research
on related memory loss causes and prevention. Alongside her research, Dr.
Ghoshal teaches premedical and medical students as well as resident physicians
at the university and has been recognized for her teaching efforts.
In light of her academic career, Dr. Ghoshal completed her undergraduate
studies from Iowa State University of Science and Technology, where she earned
her Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics. Her acclaimed career began in 2003
after she obtained her Medical Degree from Northwestern University Feinberg
School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. In constant pursuit of continuous
education, she received her Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology also at
Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. Thereafter, she completed her
Residency in Neurology at Washington University and Barnes Jewish Hospital.
During her Dementia Fellowship at Washington University, Dr. Ghoshal was the
recipient of the Poletsky and Kopolow Awards for exceptional dementia care and
research. With a commitment to furthering her professional development, she is board-certified
in Neurology.
Remaining at the forefront of her field, Dr. Ghoshal continues to stay
up-to-date with the latest advancements. She maintains active memberships and
affiliations with professional organizations including the American Medical Association,
American Academy of Neurology, Society for Neuroscience, Gerontological Society
of America, and more. Recognized as an expert, Dr. Ghoshal has presented her
work at various meetings and conferences including at the International
Conference on Alzheimer's Disease, as well as the other organizations she is
proud to be a member of.
As a testament to her success and professional excellence, Dr. Ghoshal is the
recipient of awards and accolades including Top Doctor 2020-2021. She has also
been listed in St. Louis Magazine and awarded Patient Satisfaction Award.
