Paul M. Mann is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Law. Paul is the President of Paul M. Mann Professional Corporation, a legal services company acting for Plaintiffs only.
In his current role, Paul specializes in Catastrophic Injury and Medical Malpractice. He is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, The Advocates’ Society, Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, Ontario Bar Association, American Association for Justice, The Waterloo Law Association, the Frontenac Law Association and The Holland Group, which is a “think tank” for medical malpractice lawyers and he has been involved with the said Holland Group since its inception. He is also the founder and past Chair of the Medical Malpractice Section of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association.
He is counsel to more than 80 law firms throughout the Dominion of Canada and has prosecuted cases on behalf of Plaintiffs throughout the Dominion.
He has been recognized by Canadian Lawyers Magazine as one of the top ten lawyers in the Dominion of Canada (2001). He is the recipient of the H. Bruce T. Hillyer Award in 2000 and 2004 for fearlessing advancing the cause of individual rights by the effective use of trial advocacy. He is also the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award by the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (2004) and was honoured by the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association in 2006 at the Celebration of the Personal Injury Bar as a leader of the Plaintiffs’ Bar.
He has won numerous awards for advocacy and has lectured extensively on topics relating to demonstrative evidence, jury openings, jury closings, cross-examination and examination-in-chief, heads of damages in medical malpractice actions, burden of proof in medical malpractice cases, use of experts, use of modern technology and presentation of evidence to a judge or jury.
Paul earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics (graduated magna cum laude) from the University of Western Ontario, as well as his Bachelor of Laws (graduated with honours) from the University of Windsor.
