Great Falls, VA ‒ Peggy L. S. Peters is being recognized by
Continental Who's Who as a Distinguished Executive for her excellent work in
the Wealth Management field and in recognition of her work at UBS Financial
Services - The Peters Beck Financial Group.
As a respected professional with over 45 years in the
financial industry, Ms. Peters excels at management, wealth management, and a
variety of fiscal services. Ms. Peters has dedicated her career to UBS
Financial Services, beginning at the company in 2000 as the Senior Vice
President of Wealth Management. Ms. Peters has thrived in this role for many
years, bringing decades of industry wisdom and experience to the position.
Ms. Peters didn't initially intend to work in the Finance sector. She
originally studied Psychology, graduating with Honors from the University of
Wisconsin. She has additionally taken the Uniform Securities Agent State Law
Examination in 1979, and the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination in
1991. Ms. Peters is proud to be the first woman in her family to attend
college.
After graduating, Ms. Peters accepted a job working for Solana Studios and
Outboard Marine Corp. (OMC) in 1970, taking on a managerial role supervising
the Marketing Department. She then accepted a position with Relocation Realty
in 1973, where she worked as a Real Estate Broker.
In 1975, Ms. Peters packed her bags and relocated to Washington, DC. She was
offered a job by Prudential Bache, which she accepted in 1975. During her time
at Prudential Bache, Ms. Peters modeled for an advertisement for the firm, an
honor which made her realize her true potential as a broker.
After seven years of gaining experience in Investment Brokerage at Prudential
Bache, she took on her next career opportunity at Paine Webber, beginning in
1982. Ms. Peters joined the company as a Retirement Planning Consultant. Paine
Webber merged with UBS Financial Services Inc. in 2000, and Ms. Peters moved
into an executive role, gaining the title of Senior Vice President of Wealth
Management. Through five company mergers, she widened her area of expertise
from the American market to a more international worldview, gaining knowledge
and information about worldwide market trends.
She has flourished in this executive role because she is a people person who
likes working one-on-one with clients and coworkers. Ms. Peters manages her
clients' stocks and bonds, using her years of experience to create and enact a
plan that is right for each client. She takes into consideration her client's
lifestyle, goals for retirement and for their future, and talks in detail about
the current market options to maximize growth. Every client has unique needs -
some are looking to leave a legacy to their children and grandchildren; others
want to plan for a retirement full of vacations and relaxation; and some want
to grow their wealth steadily over many years to prepare for whatever the
future holds. Ms. Peters enjoys guiding her clients towards the future they've
always dreamed of, with the peace of mind and security of knowing their wealth
is in good hands.
UBS Financial Services is the world's largest wealth manager, and offers a
broad range of services for people looking to invest in the most beneficial way
for them. UBS Financial Services, located in multiple locations around the
United States, offers wealth management services, asset management, investment
banking, and works with corporate partners in the United States and abroad. The
company is FINRA registered in nearly every US state.
As a woman in the workplace for many decades, beginning in the 1970s, Ms.
Peters has fought long and hard to overcome obstacles throughout her career.
She encountered unfair disadvantages, such as hiring discrimination and pay
discrimination, through her early days. She has continuously fought to advance
her own career and create a smoother path for women in the next generation who
will pursue jobs in the fields of Finance and Wealth Management.
Active in her community, Ms. Peters is a member of Gamma Phi Beta, the Great
Falls Swim and Tennis Club, and the Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club. She
has recently been recognized for her professional excellence by Who's Who among
America's Colleges, Who's Who of American Women, and Marquis Who's Who as a Top
Executive. In the future, Ms. Peters looks forward to continuing to advance in
the financial industry, and to continue to guide her clients for many more
years to come.
On a personal note, Ms. Peters enjoys spending time with her son, Lee, and her
friends, and family. She is an avid boater and jet-skier, and is especially
fond of the Chesapeake Bay area.
