The doctor earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Texas in 1988 and received specialized training in pediatric dentistry from the University of Texas Health Science Center in 1990, Dr. Armstrong brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her practice which she started in 1991. She also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Life Science with a minor in chemistry from the University of Texas Permian Basin in 1984 and an Associate’s degree from Odessa College in 1982. She was recognized in Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges while still a student proving her excellence and dedication early on in the field. She continues to pursue education and stay abreast of the latest advancements in dentistry that ensures her young patients receive the highest standard of care. Dr. Armstrong was board certified as a pediatric dentist in 1995.

Dr. Armstrong's affiliations with esteemed organizations such as the American Dental Association (ADA), American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), and American Society of Dentistry for Children (ASDC) underscore her commitment to upholding professional standards and best practices in pediatric dentistry. Additionally, her involvement with initiatives like Save a Smile reflects her passion for making dental care accessible to all children, including those with special needs that she serves through Special Needs Dentistry.

Dr. Armstrong is also an author having many articles published concerning scientific dental research and government environmental policies. 

Touting more than 35 years in the field, Dr. Armstrong has achieved notable recognition for her outstanding contributions to pediatric dentistry. Her practice has been featured in top publications such as Fort Worth, Dallas, and Texas Monthly Magazines, earning her the prestigious title of Top Docs and The Best of the Best. Moreover, she has been honored with the Mom-Approved Doctor designation, a testament to her dedication to providing exceptional care to young patients and their families 

Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Armstrong finds joy in hobbies such as spending time with animals, traveling, and staying active. She attributes her success to the unwavering support of her dear family and the guidance of mentors like Dr. Bruce Weiner and CL and K Armstrong. With a philosophy centered on putting patients first, Dr. Sandra L. Armstrong continues to make a lasting impact on the lives of children through her compassionate and expert dental care.

Looking to the future, Dr. Armstrong plans to continue making her patients’ lives better one patient at a time and to provide smiles and support for those who are in need. In her spare time, the doctor enjoys vacationing in her places: BVI, Europe, and New Zealand. She would like to thank her dear family for their love and support.
