SARAH SHUBE - BUSINESS OWNER

Longmeadow, MA - Prominently featured in The Inner Circle, Sarah Shube is acknowledged as a Pinnacle Professional of The Year for her contributions to Mental Health and Clinical Art Therapy.

Mrs. Sarah Shube has established a distinguished career in mental health counseling and clinical art therapy, earning recognition for her innovative leadership, commitment to clinician wellbeing, and dedication to helping individuals heal through creative expression. As the founder of Creative Art Therapies and Wellness, LLC, she has built a thriving group practice that combines evidence-based mental health care with the transformative power of art therapy.

Founded in 2013, Creative Art Therapies and Wellness serves communities throughout Massachusetts, with a primary focus on Western Massachusetts. Under Mrs. Shube's leadership, the practice provides comprehensive mental health counseling, clinical art therapy services, clinician mentorship, and innovative wellness programs. Her vision has been to create an organization where both clients and clinicians feel supported, valued, and empowered to thrive.

Mrs. Shube specializes in clinical mental health counseling, clinical art therapy, entrepreneurship, leadership, business development, program innovation, strategic partnerships, and clinician mentorship. She is particularly recognized for fostering a workplace culture that prioritizes clinician wellbeing while ensuring patients receive compassionate, high-quality care.

She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Chatham University in 2004 before completing a Master of Science in Clinical Art Therapy and Mental Health Counseling at Springfield College in 2007. Licensed in Massachusetts since 2011, she has established herself as a respected professional art therapist and mental health counselor.

Throughout her career, Mrs. Shube has gained experience across community mental health, substance use treatment, higher education, and private practice. In addition to leading her growing practice, she served as an adjunct professor at Springfield College, where she helped educate and prepare future mental health professionals. She has also developed innovative art-as-healing interventions for older adults living with dementia while mentoring emerging clinicians and cultivating future leaders in the behavioral health field.

Her professional affiliations include membership in the American Art Therapy Association, the Massachusetts Mental Health Counselors Association, and the Western Massachusetts Substance Abuse Providers Association, reflecting her commitment to advancing the profession and promoting collaborative care.

Mrs. Shube's accomplishments have been recognized through inclusion in Marquis Who's Who and as a recipient of the Gloria Steinem Award, honoring her leadership and contributions to mental health care.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and playing board games, activities that reflect her appreciation for connection, creativity, and community.

Looking ahead, Mrs. Shube plans to continue expanding Creative Art Therapies and Wellness while increasing clinician support, leadership development, and mentorship opportunities. She also intends to advocate for more sustainable mental health care models through innovative leadership and art-centered therapeutic programs.

Guided by a philosophy that healing happens best when people feel safe, valued, and understood, Mrs. Shube believes individuals flourish when they are supported, connected, and empowered. Through servant leadership and a steadfast commitment to compassionate care, she continues to make a lasting impact on both the mental health profession and the communities she serves.
