Blue Shield, HCSC. An illustrious
figure, Covert is renowned for his professional achievements in the implementation
of one of the largest care management systems worldwide. Having influenced the
organization in a strategic and forthright direction with the intent of promoting
the organizations successful expansion throughout the years, in his current
capacity Covert specializes in Strategy and Operations, Management, Program
Management, Business and Development, Leadership, Insurance, Strategic Planning
and Business Analysis. Additionally, Covert has assisted in the development of
turnarounds, start-ups, large scale system implementations and ongoing process
improvements. As the creator of one of the first on-line provider finder
solutions, in looking to the future, Covert hopes to expand the business within
the next five years.
Throughout the course of his education and training, Covert attended Amberton
University where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration in
Management Information Systems. Thereafter,
Covert would then go onto attain his Master of Business Administration in 2008.
To further his professional development, Covert is an affiliate of several
organizations including Camp iHope where he volunteers with children with
terminal illness. Created from the compassionate hearts of the of the oncology
team at Medical City Children's Hospital, the camp is dedicated to raising
cancer awareness and helping those in need.
Camp iHope assists children in helping them promote lifelong friendships
while establishing a way for them to feel like a "normal kid" again. By
providing a network where children are able to reconnect with loved ones and
develop a social network of their own, the camp lends a hand in giving kids the
opportunity to "builds confidence, self-esteem, and provides a network of
support." In addition, the camp assists in helping children gain independence
while promoting an environment enabling self acceptance.
