
South Orange, NJ- Susan Roth Pitman, MD, is being
recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Achiever in the
field of Medicine as an Obstetrician/Gynecologist at Summit Medical Group.
As the leading and oldest physician-owned
multispecialty medical practice in New Jersey, Summit Medical Group has over
eight locations throughout seven northern NJ counties. The group has a full
spectrum of women’s health services, including OB/GYN, gynecologic oncology,
and urogynecology. Dr. Pitman serves at the Livingston Campus location on 75 E.
Northfield Road.
Recognized for twenty-eight years of outstanding
practice, Dr. Pitman is adept at gynecologic oncology and urogynecology. She
helps patients with a variety of conditions and services, including active
labor, alpha-fetoprotein testing, amniocentesis, amnioinfusion, amniotomy,
artificial insemination, blood sugar, Braxton hicks contracting, breast
feeding, breast infection/mastitis, cell-free fetal DNA testing, cesarean
section, hypertension, infertility, oligohydramnios, postnatal, tubal
pregnancy, and more. She provides superior training for residents and serves as
chair of the Department of Gynecology at Short Hills Surgery Center in Short
Hills. She maintains additional hospital affiliations with Saint Barnabas
Medical Center.
Venerated by her peers and patients, Dr. Pitman has
become a patient-preferred obstetrician/gynecologist in Essex County because
she listens to her patients carefully and learns their health history thoroughly.
She respects her patients and helps educate them on health and prevention,
treating them as a whole.
To prepare for her career, Dr. Pitman received a
Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Tufts University in Medford, MA. For medical
studies, she attended Rosalind Franklin University and the University of Health
Sciences/Chicago Medical School. She completed a residency in obstetrics and
gynecology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, NY. She is board-certified by the American
Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

field,
Dr. Pitman serves as a fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and
Gynecology and a member of the American Medical Association and Society of
Laparoscopic Surgeons. A noted humanitarian, she donates to melanoma research, Jewish
National Fund (JNF), Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF), and Magen
David Adom (AFMDA).
Outside of work, Dr. Pitman enjoys traveling,
skiing, reading, going to the beach, and spending time with her family.
Dr. Pitman dedicates this recognition in loving
memory of her mentor and father Dr. Edward Roth (OB/GYN), and to her husband
David and children Rachel, Jessica, Benjamin.
