TANYA DESLOOVER LMFT, CADC II - MARRIAGE & FAMILY THERAPIST

Costa Mesa, CA ‒ Tanya Desloover LMFT, CADC II is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Top Marriage & Family Therapist for her decades of exceptional work in the field of Counseling.

With 20 years of experience in treatment and therapy, Ms. Desloover has dedicated her career to counseling those in need. She also mentors new therapists seeking licensure. She is a certified EMDR therapist, as well as a certified Alcohol & Drug Addiction Counselor, dedicated to helping her clients address trauma, substance use, and grief.
 
While working as a therapist for Sober Living by the Sea for 15 years, she founded a private practice, Courageous Heart Counseling. In 2017, she became the Director of Clinical Services at Sober Living By the Sea and Sunrise Ranch, where she oversaw clinical programs and supervised MFT Interns. She has been practicing family therapy since 2008. She currently works at Courageous Heart Counseling, where she focuses on attachment ruptures and addressing shame and loss.
 
Ms. Desloover provides critical support and guidance to resolve issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, and codependency to enhance her clients’ lives. She believes in empowering her clients to become their best authentic selves. As a recovering alcoholic herself, Ms. Desloover has deep compassion and understanding for her patients.
 
Ms. Desloover gives presentations about managing anxiety, questions about substance use, and understanding codependency. She was a member of the Women’s Association for Addiction Treatment from 2014-2015, and is an active member of the California Association of Alcohol and Drug Counselors, California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, California Board of Behavioral Sciences, and the EMDR International Association.
 
She received her BA in Psychology with a Minor in Early Childhood Education from the University of Washington. She also received an MA in Counseling Psychology from National University. She is certified in CADC II and EMDR Therapy.
 
Ms. Desloover enjoys spending time with her close-knit family. She loves reading, cooking, and biking with her son.
