Tupelo, MS— Dr. Thomas D. Wooldridge is being recognized by
Continental Who’s Who as a Top Pinnacle Nephrologist for his work
in Clinical Nephrology and Research.
Dr. Wooldridge is a specialist in Clinical Nephrology and is
board certified in Internal Medicine with a subspecialty in Nephrology. He
received undergraduate degrees in biology and chemistry in 1968 from Millsaps
College followed by a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Mississippi in
1972. Dr. Woolridge completed an internship at the University Hospital in
Jacksonville, Florida, followed by a residency and fellowship at the University
of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC).
The doctor has been in the medical field as a nephrologist for more than 45
years. He is a senior partner at nephrology and Hypertension Associates LTD. in
Tupelo, Mississippi. Dr. Woolridge is recognized statewide as the first
regional nephrologist in all northeast Mississippi and excels in general
nephrology and dialysis treatments.
He established his dialysis practice in 1977 and has expanded from a 20-patient
facility to one that now serves approximately 1,000 people. His practice
oversees 14 dialysis units across North Mississippi. In addition to seeing
patients in his office, Dr. Wooldridge cares for hospital patients and has
served as a medical director at various dialysis units in North Mississippi
since 1977.
Dr. Wooldridge continues to stay abreast of the latest medical developments in
his field while disseminating his findings in numerous scholarly articles and
abstracts. He has been an active member of the national and regional Fresenius
Medical advisory board since 2007, has served as a Network 8 Medical Review
Board Chair between 1999-2003 and 2007-2013, and is actively affiliated with
the Renal Physicians Association and the International Society of Nephrology.
During his 45-year career, Dr. Wooldridge has received a Mississippi Kidney
Foundation Award and an Outstanding Achievement Award from the Mississippi
Kidney Foundation. He was also featured as one of the Best Doctors in America-Southeast
Region through Woodward/White, Inc. publications.
