Tommy G. Smith is a
Board Certified Elder Law attorney with an impressive legal career for 12 years
specializing in all facets of his work. He has been practicing at Smith Law,
PLLC since 2019, helping families identify options to minimize the impact of
long-term care and plan for the future of their estate and assets.
Additionally, he utilizes his extensive repertoire of expertise in elder law to

In light of his academic achievements, Mr. Smith completed his undergraduate
studies with a Bachelor's degree at North Carolina State University, followed
by obtaining a Master of Business Administration from the University of West
Florida. Then he went on to earn a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the School of
Law at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, graduating magna cum laude.
Since then, Mr. Smith has been admitted to practice law before all Florida
state courts, the United States District Court for Northern Florida, and the
Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims in Washington, D.C.
Throughout his career,
Mr. Smith excelled in both the legal and synthetic fibers industry. He served
as an attorney and promoted to partner at the respected law firm, Shell,
Fleming, Davis & Menge from 2010 to 2018. Prior to his legal career, he
gained valuable experience in the synthetic fibers industry for 32 years as a
certified quality engineer. Mr. Smith earned a corporate Circle of Excellence
Award for leading ISO 9001 certification efforts.
To stay abreast of the latest developments in his field, Mr. Smith maintains
active memberships with the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, the Academy
of Florida Elder Law Attorneys, and the Florida Bar Association, and the
National Care Planning Council and Elder Counsel.
An active member of his community, Mr. Smith serves as a deacon at Hillcrest
Baptist Church, having previously served as a business administrator for his
