Board-Certified Pediatrician, Dr. Reda has led an impressive
career for 30 years in pediatrics, garnering extensive experience teaching
residents, Physician Assistants & Medical students from UCI, UCLA, &
USC. He is a specialist in primary pediatrics, asthma, pulmonary, critical
care, and hospital medicine. In his current role at Newport Children’s Medical
Group, he is available at their Fashion Island and Laguna Beach locations
providing the highest standard of pediatric care.
Among his professional experience, Dr. Reda thrived in varying leadership
positions. He served as the Associate Director of Miller Children’s Hospital
PICU, Long Beach, St. Vincent Cardio-Thoracic PICU. He also served as the
Medical Director of Fountain Valley Regional Hospital PICU, for 15 years &
was voted as a Chairman of the Pediatric Department for 4 years. He serves on
the faculty of Hoag Hospital, Fountain Valley Regional Hospital, Mission,
Miller Children Hospital, CHOC, and Saddle Back Memorial.
Dr. Reda’s acclaimed career began after he obtained his medical degree from
Cairo University School of Medicine in Egypt. He completed his residency at USC
and a fellowship at UCLA. He currently serves on the faculty of USC and has
served on the faculty at UCI for over 15 years. Dr. Reda is Board Certified in
Pediatrics, Critical Care, and Hospital Medicine and is a Fellow of the
American Academy of Pediatrics & American College of Chest Physicians.
Remaining abreast of the latest advancements in his field, Dr. Reda has
maintained active memberships in professional organizations including the
American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Chest Physicians. He
is also a member of the society of critical care medicine, the European society
of critical care, and frequently participates in international meetings to
update and share his knowledge.
As a testament of his success, Dr. Reda was selected by his peers at the OCMA
as one of the “Top Doctors” in his field over the past 15 years and voted: One
